I recently have become kind of bored of my music,so have really started to actually listen to songs-instead of skipping ones I never knew I had. I've really got back into Simone White and Bat for Lashes.I think I've got more into mellow music again, and backed away from my 80's obsession. I have such a long list of music I need to get onto my ipod...but anyone else got any suggestions of favourite music I should add to my list?
Maybe you should try Two Doors Cinema (I'm just obsessed with Something Good Can Work. The video is really cool too) or Mumford and Sons (they songs are calm but lyrics are great)? Also Miike Snow is great, very energetic :) hope that was some kind of helpful ;)
A friend of mine actually introduced me to the singer, Melody Gardot. Her music is a bit jazzy, yet absolutely beautiful. I would definitely recommend her music for easy-listening.

Hi! Definitely La Roux and The Cure. Also, try some Native storytelling music -- check out Robbie Robertson, Contact from the Underworld of Redboy and Lucinda Williams (great songwriter!).
