I must admit going for that total vintage look isn't really my cup of tea(I guess I like to try and mix vintage into outfits in a more refreshing way, rather than replicate past styles),but with this skirt I kind of feel restrained into some odd 60's schoolgirl box and I can't quite seem to push my way out.Anyone got any idea's how I could modernize this skirt? Wishes,Sofie
I love this look on you - I can see what you mean about feeling a little coereced into a 1960s, schoolgirl box, but it looks so exceedingly good! I'd probably update with a pair of tartan or cable-knit tights instead of socks, plus a wide belt but that's just me.
Aaahhhh I'm sorry but all of this is amazing and I don't think you need to modernize that skirt at all. I loooove late 60s/70s skirts like these so much and these are totally my last year fall fibes! But I guess you could think of an item that is characteristically modern or in style right now. I can't really think of anything but an example: if you'd wear a cropped lace or fluffy shirt this look would become totally 90s.
