So I kinda went on a ridiculously good camping trip with my best friend in the summer, and finally in the month of December am sharing this set of photos...
Admitdley, as disposables scanned in the quality is ruined a little, but seen as there has been no eye candy on here for a while, I thought they were worthy a post.

350.Wishes to concentrate
So I was tagged by the lovely Quirks of blazoning pens to do a "blog award" and well I could do with a little procrastination...
1.What would you like to change about yourself?
oh no not this one again. I do wonder if anyone will ever ask what you'd most like to keep about yourself if everthing else were to change. My new years resolution since I popped out the womb has been to stop biting my nails, (minus that one year when I thought nail biting just revealed how tortured and interesting my mind was) which has reached a record high this half term with my nails and surrounding area being red raw from biting.
2.What is your theme song?
no comment.
3.One part of your life memory, action etc that you wish you could surgically remove from your brain
That part were I thought nail biting revealed how tortured I was...
4.What generation do you wish you had been part of?
Well every generation has had less social mobility, less racial and gender equality so that sorta sucks. But if we're just talking music, aesthetics etc it would definitley be the 1920s or the 1960s.
5.What was your favourite childhood toy?
I was really boring. All I needed was a skipping rope or a good book. Children don't have too many needs-if you gave me a fence I'd find some way to swing upside down on it till I got dizzy and that'd be the highlight of my day.
6.What is your favourite housecleaning chore?
What? WHAT? does such a thing exist?
7.Do you tweet?
Nope.
8.Any goals?
Change the world, and eat cake. Maybe do some writing on the side. I'm not so sure really, but I'm hoping things will turn out good and maybe I can do something that I'll be proud of.
9.Do you really drink margaritas all the time?
Yes my dears. (no, not at all)
10.What is the ugliest car you've ever driven and were embarrassed to be seen in?
I do not drive, even though I'm old enough to get a license. We've had quite a few old bangers in my household, in particularly a white-ish minibus, which I do remember finding a little embarrassing at the time.
Seen as I recently posted my favourite bloggers in a post below, I'll just nominate those to carry on this thingmabob.

349.Wishes to keep calm and carry on
the intense struggle of photographing oneself
I've been less concerned with my dress recently, and my outfits have been taking a much more simplified form. I have late night frenzies(I think this is how creativity works for most people-that's why we're crazy) when my room becomes a floordrobe, but then in the morning my fresh eyes hate all the extra details I felt I needed the night before. I have a tendency for wanting to deal with the infinite outfit possibilities all at once, as if I believe my days are soon ended(which,oh my lord they are!?) and thus I MUST SHOW THE WORLD ALL THESE COLOURS AND SCARFS AND PRETTY THINGS TOMMOROW. The above is just one of my more minimal outfits. Wishes,Sofie

348.Wishes to vote
As the spectacle of the Olympics opening and closing ceremonies played on my TV screen I felt a weird sense of Britishness overcome me(something that no royal event had ever succeeded to do). That comical Delboy and Rodney reference(childhood nostalgia),that fake green pasture(fake nostalgia for an unrealistic idyll), and Mr Russel Brand signing about walruses(60's nostalgia) and I suddenly felt connected to a national identidy-I know? WHAT? really??
I've never really identified myself as any sort of patriot. Patriots to me were stuffy ignorant dukes or thuggish hooligans-strangely enough both are British stereotypes themselves!Aside from my clearly narrow minded stereotypes, being patriotic would never be of any benefit to me."Hi I'm Sofie, and I'm British, golly gosh isn't that splendid?" was no interesting conversation starter. "Hi my name's Sofie and it's pronounced Sofieeee, rather than Sophie because I'm half-dutch" on the other hand was. In that way I've always had more oportunities to express my dutch heritage, and felt more closely linked to it.
The irony of this sudden British realization, a feeling that I imagine many felt at one point during the games, is that a week before I had been denied my official right to British-ness. Months of "press 1 for...press 2 for...press 3 for..." and complex paperwork to be sent here, there and everywhere resulted in a frustrated set of parents and a failed passport application. More "press 1 for...", more paperwork and the final judgement was made-there's a chance British born, English speaking, soon to be tax paying Sofie can get a British passport(and thus citizenship) if frustrated parents pay a hefty sum(I'm talking almost £1000) and fill in excessive amounts of forms-with no guarantee of sucess, and without refund.
Unable to afford the procedure dubbed naturalisation, I successfully applied for a dutch passport. From now on my daily attire shall include clogs,my daily meals include cheese, and my daily transport method be by bike.In all seriousness though as a "dutch civilian" in the UK I have been deprived my vote in the general elections. I won't be making any political decisions anytime soon, more pressing will be who to support in the next Olympic games.

346.Wishes for blogs
Though I write my own blog, my greater involvement in the blogosphere is the reading of blogs.I hoard them on my feed.I search for new treasures on a weekly basis. And, I'd like to believe my four year commitment has made me a bit of a connoisseur. So I felt it was due time I share this "expertise" of mine in a comprehensive list ( my blogroll on the left features many blogs that I no longer read or are no longer posted on) of my current favourite internet haunts, whether they be well known or just beginners...

345.Wishes to not watch the x-factor
Film and TV are often applauded in the blogosphere for their striking visuals, and as a community our eyes have become accustomed to posts filled with meticulously chosen screen caps.
However, today I'm celebrating “Our
friends in the North” not for beautiful, almost photographic
compositions (I'm thinking Wes Anderson here- or even BBC1's
“Wallander”) but just for being such a gripping well told
series, filled with lesser known historical topics. A 9 part BBC Gem
following the lives of 4 Northerners , “Our friends...” was my
revision retreat during my AS level exam period. Yet I'll definitely
be delving back into it as my constant retreat from the majority of
the brain-destroying TV showcasing at the moment.

343.Wishes for revelations
I got a little creative with scarfs and things today....
What started off as trying to wear this dress in as many weird ways possible quickly turned into,OH MY GOD YOU CAN TIE SCARFS INTO TOPS! It was a little like my OH MY GOD PUTTING CLOTHES ON BACKWARDS IS COOL revelation, but even more wearable. I made a little video of how I created it all below.

oh deary dear,I've just realised I might give you all neck pain!

339.Wishes to be a mermaid
After over a month(or two?) away from blogging due to my sincere wish not to fail my exams,I found it a slight struggle to put fingers to keys today. Not only because my brain is everlastingly frazzled from this ongoing thing called sixth form college, but also because I suddenly realised I liked the freedom of not blogging. Yet que sera sera,I still find I like this little old place of musings. And so, a catch up on my turbulent and dramatic life seems appropriate...
I became a foil and cling-film covered mermaid -esque creature for a friends art project.Aren't they groovy and creepy all at once? to see more marvelousness clickity here.
I also wore my hair with a pencil in it.....
because I felt like a librarian.
I tried to keep my social life intact and partied with a few friends.....
In an outfit that I have not yet photographed, but adore.
I TOLD YOU IT WAS DRAMATIC,my darlings!
Anyhoo... much to do and much to still say, hope to see you soon.

335.Wishes to feel a little ugly
I am most aesthetically satisfied when I feel just a little ugly.By this I mean an outfit which incorporates some perfect matching, with some perfect awkward element. This is one of those outfits.
Sofie
ps-take note of my new seconhand boots that I bought at a market for £6!It is a strange experience to be taller/at eye level with my friends, and I'm not quite sure whether I like to be intimidating one.
